David Rabinowitz
Conductor of The Chamber Wind Ensemble
Mr. Rabinowitz holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Mason Gross School for the Arts at Rutgers University and his Masters in Orchestral Studies with a focus on Tuba from the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University. He has studied tuba with some of the best artists and teachers in the United States including Scott Mendoker of the Philadelphia Brass Quintet, John Manning of the Atlantic Brass Quintet, Charlie Schuchat of the Elgin Symphony, Gene Pokorny and Jay Freidman of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Rabinowitz has served as the Principal Tuba for the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forrest, the Elmhurst Symphony, the Buffalo Grove Symphony Band, The South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble, The Landsdowne Symphony, The Princeton Brass Band and the Atlantic Brass Band. He has had the opportunity to learn from conductors such as Dr. William Berz, Dale Clevenger, Jay Freidman, Sal Scarpa, Dr. Christian Wilhjem and Dr. Stephen Allen. Currently Mr. Rabinowitz serves as a 5th and 6th Grade Band Director and one of the Assistant Marching Band Directors for the Montgomery Township Public Schools |
